Meet the Team
Jordan Cloutier
Operations and Systems Builder
Red Seal-certified Electrical Journeyman (SAIT). Jordan built ARK's prototype greenhouse in partnership with Sprung Structures, managing electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and crop systems from the ground up. Under his leadership ARK has supplied fresh produce to Sprung Café, Broxburn Vegetables, and YYC Growers in Calgary for more than eight years. His hands-on experience spans heavy oil to high-tech agriculture.
Justin Cloutier
Master Grower & Installations
Justin has led day-to-day greenhouse operations for the past several years, overseeing both produce and rainbow trout production. With a Computer Science background from the University of Calgary and prior experience at Sysco, he has successfully managed customer projects at Highfield Farms, GranTierra (Colombia), and Dene Tha' First Nation. His focus is reliable, high-quality yields and smooth system handovers.
Dan Cloutier
President & Vision
Dan is the founder of ARK and a 20+ year leader in alternative energy and cogeneration. He has delivered CHP and sustainable energy projects for Broxburn Greenhouse, the Enjoy Center, the City of Calgary, and Calgary Co-op, among others. His background includes passive solar geothermal, solar PV, and leadership roles in high-growth technology companies (Sylogist, Quorum Information Technologies). A third-generation Albertan, Dan's work centers on practical resilience for Canadian communities.

The Aldersyde Demonstration Facility
Located at 80039 Maple Leaf Rd, Aldersyde, Alberta, our flagship facility is open for tours by appointment. Visitors can see ARK's full suite of technologies operating in an integrated, real-world environment.
The facility demonstrates controlled environment buildings, aquaponics systems, biogas cogeneration, vertical grow bags, passive cooling, and concentrated solar — all working together as a cohesive, energy-efficient ecosystem.
